Description

The Assault 450DFC Belt Dive Flybarless 3D Helicopter Kit is an improved kit version of the popular Assault 450DFC Ready to Fly Helicopter. Now you can choose which motor, servos, electronics and radio you wish to use to build a truly customised 3D helicopter that has carried on the tradition and high quality of the original range of Assault 450 helicopters. Assembly is very straightforward and simple and a detailed instruction manual is supplied.

One of the key features of the AssaultDFC is the Direct Flight Control rotor head which is fully CNC machined from aluminum and provides crisp, precise control with a very low parts count and easy set up. The DFC rotor head brings the rotor disc closer to the main frame, moving the center of gravity closer to the middle of the helicopter. The servo positions have been moved and redesigned from the RTF Assault 450 making the set up and fitting of the servos even easier, the mounts are now incorporated into the aluminum main shaft bearing holders.This set up provides better flight characteristics and more agility allowing for the ultimate in extreme 3D flight performance.

The Assault 450 is full of aluminum parts which other manufacturers normally sell as upgrades and the main frames and baseplate are constructed from lightweight yet rigid carbon fiber. On the main frame the dual main shaft bearing blocks, motor mount, baseplate mounts and the rear servo mount are accurately CNC machined from aluminum. The tail servo has now been re-positioned from the original 450DFC and is located between the frames at the rear, this gives a perfect direct inline route for the tail rotor pushrod. The complete tail assembly is also fully machined from aluminum and features a dual supported tail pitch slider which provides a slop free precision tail rotor.
